Fukushima Webcam Update

Emissions have been heavier than usual the last week.

Since December 21 I've seen a police car parked blocking the road to the plant and a "pumper ship" in the harbor.

The cranes visible on TEPCO cam 4 were folded sometime over the last 24 hours. Compare these shots:

Today, December 25 (in Japan) as recorded on the TBS cam (taken at same time as screenshot above) there is a pumpership in the harbor

(I refer to this ship type as a "pumpership" -- it has been sighted in the harbor many times over the years, particularly when emissions conditions appear worsening - but I am not certain as to its actual functionality).

In the TBS screenshot above it appears that there is a column of emissions coming from reactor unit 1, which is the building on your left that is partially blocked by the large white vent stack.

MAYBE ITS TIME TO ADD SOME MORE NITROGEN to REACTOR ONE TEPCO!

  1. Thank you for your comment Weez. I've been following that development in Brazil also. The WSJ reported concerns there has possibly been a mutation in the virus, which is causing the escalating deaths and mutations.

Fukushima was clearly a major blow to already stressed eco-systems. I'm sure that its not the only factor, but I have noticed with you that insect and bird populations have not returned to where they were prior to the Fukushima disaster in my area.

  2. We are rapidly reaching the point where the brutal psychosis and stupidy of nuclear madness will not fly anymore. It is amazing how defiant the nucleoapes are even in the face of the the devastation around them.

  3. Ukraine's Looming "19 Fukushimas" Scenario
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-12-24/ukraines-looming-19-fukushimas-scenario

"And so the nightmare scenario for the Ukraine is a simple one. Temperature drops below freezing and stays there for a couple of weeks. Coal and natural gas supplies run down; thermal power plants shut down; the electric grid fails; circulatory pumps at the 19 nuclear reactors (which, by the way, probably haven't been overhauled as recently as they should have been) stop pumping; meltdown!"

In the Washington crowd there are no doubt those who hope they melt down so that they can blame Russia. I know now directly that in the physicist community there is practically no concern about Fukushima or radiation in general! If one is outside this magical barrier all is well; those who for one reason or another have gotten inside it are all too aware of a great many reasons for concern.

    1. Almost seems that another meltdown in the Ukraine is inevitable after all the problems with the nuclear plants there.
