The Event at Daiichi

I just witnessed an 'event' at Daiichi that was clearly not normal. It reminded me of the warning by the architect of unit 3 at Daiichi that the melted corium could produce a hydrovolcanic eruption.

Within a two minute time interval I witnessed steam erupt from the ground near the base of unit 2. The billowing steam quickly engulfed the plant and then dissipated within a two minute time frame.

I've captured some screen shots. Again, these were taken within a two minute time frame.

It is interesting that there is a very active 'troll' at the Enenews webcam forum who strongly attacked my observations and those of other posters who witnessed the event.

Tepco must be concerned about public knowledge of these types of eruptive steam events.

In the first screen shot you can see the steam erupting to the immediate left of the strong light (now we know why the light was placed there)

  1. Majia,
You've experienced firsthand, the power of what's happening at Fukushima - both at the site and the suppression of information about it.

I agree things appear to be deteriorating at the plant, however it's the progression that has been occurring for some time.

The suppression of information might be new to you. It's the same thing I experienced a year ago at Enenews, when I was reporting open fires that I was pretty sure existed at the time.

I gave up on that site shortly afterwards, noting the names of those who supposedly were supporting the flow of information, but in reality were suppressing it.

They are on display, in the open now, as you review what happened on the webcam thread today.

As you read back through it, note those who are trying to actively distract the discussion away from your observation; those who are supportive of those who are actively distracting; those who are trying to support your observation, or understand it; and those who are just posting garbage to bury it.

This is the surest measure of who folks, or rather who personas, really are. They drag every one of them out to cover up an event like this, and they will use every tactic to rattle you.

You are not wrong about your observations, however I believe the event you observed is not as unusual as most would assume. I've seen many things on the cams I never thought could happen. Just to talk about open nuclear fission is almost unbelievable. Prior to 3/11/11 there were only a few documented cases of it ever happening on earth, and now it's a daily occurrance in Japan. That's how much of a world-changer this thing is...

I'm personally surprised they haven't just turned the camera's off - not sure what is the driving force keeping them on at this point. I would recommend not watching it too closely, you'll just get depressed...

  2. James,

Maybe they are leaving the cameras on to break our will.

There are thousands upon thousands of Internet employees of the military-industrial complex, and lots of robots, too. Discussions of Fukushima are important enough to justify their presence.

  3. Hi James

I'm in agreement about the suppression of information and the ongoing nature of the deterioration.

I walked away from the Fukushima symposium more fully appreciating the importance of stabilizing the plant against emissions that would lead the 'nuclear dominoes' to fall at Daini and Tokai.

Daiichi is going to poison the planet for generations and the effects are going to be unprecedented, coming as they are after 70 years of radiological and chemical poisoning of the eco-system.

However, a quick and permanent evacuation of the site is truly unthinkable. Even more unthinkable is the idea that no one would be warned, even the people directly 'downwind.'

I want to 'move on' and forget the entire nightmare but I feel that i have to protect my children from any more massive releases.

It is this imperative that keeps me watching the cams, however futile it seems to be given the low quality of recording and the likelihood of fraud by Tepco.

Yesterday was very frustrating. You are right that it clearly revealed allegiances.

    Thank you for your comment.
