Mt Fuji Eruption? A Potential Disaster With Fukushima's Ongoing Fissioning

Majia here: A Tepco engineer recently stated that Tepco doesn't know where the coriums are from meltdowns and melt-throughs at the Fukushima plant.  See Enenews here

Might these melted coriums affect fault lines in Japan that could increase the probability of Mt Fuji erupting?

I don't know the answer to that question, but if I were a citizen of Japan I would demand that all nuclear plants be kept offline and in cold shutdown given the geological uncertainties plaguing Japan right now and the ongoing nature of the fission activity at the Fukushima plant, as evidenced in continuous production of radioactive Iodine-131 and, more recently, Krypton-85

Disaster in the making? Mount Fuji pierces the clouds on August 4, 2012. (Chunichi Shimbun/Japan Times)

[Excerpted] "Volcanologists speculate that a disaster is imminent. Scientists say last year's Great East Japan Earthquake has greatly increased the pressure of the magma chamber underneath Mount Fuji. The pressure is now higher than it was the last time the volcano erupted more than 300 years ago, scientists say, according to a report Thursday.

Mount Fuji, in Shizuoka Prefecture, last erupted in 1707, less than two months after a large earthquake....
