Majia here: I am quite concerned about a recent comment made by the founder of Japan's Skilled Veterans Corps, a group of retired skilled professionals who are committed to stabilizing the Fukushima plant. This inspired group of volunteers has been denied access to the Fukushima plant by Tepco.
The founder of the Skilled Veterans Corps recently remarked that the fuel from Fukushima reactors may be in powder form, as reported by Enenews:
“I Don’t Know What Would Happen”: Fuel from Fukushima reactors may be powder — If so, work almost impossible (AUDIO)

Majia here: Perhaps the powdered core is a component in the highly radioactive black soil being detected around Japan. http://majiasblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/another-update-on-radioactive-black.html
Furthermore, if it is powder, then it is already in the ocean spreading and entering the water cycle.http://majiasblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/compromised-oceans-mean-compromised.html
Tepco has been spraying hundreds of tons of water on the reactors each day. This water is accumulating in trenches around the plant and, no doubt, is ending up in the ocean.
I was writing up my chapter on Fukushima and the ocean today and reviewed older news articles.
Tepco is struggling to store contaminated water at the site. Tepco stated that it had been spraying about 70 tons of water that had been stored around the Daiichi compound a day since early October and that water in some trenches measured at 10,000 millisieverts an hour, which is 10 sieverts an hour, a fatal dose.

Majia Here: This morning Enenews has a report detailing cesium detections from Fukushima on the ocean floor 2000 kilometers from the plant:
“Like Green Starlight”: Radioactive ‘marine snow’ covered seafloor 2,000 kilometers from Fukushima by July 2011 (PHOTOS & VIDEO) http://enenews.com/like-green-starlight-radioactive-marine-snow-covered-sea-floor-2000-kilometers-from-fukushima-by-july-2011-photos-video
Majia here: I have reported that radiation in the ocean doesn't necessarily stay in the ocean. Radioactive isotopes can enter the water cycle from the ocean and then be rained upon land. http://majiasblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/compromised-oceans-mean-compromised.html
The assertion that some of the corium could be in powdered form takes on heightened significance when one considers its ease of transport (via both water and air).
I would like to note also that the recent claim by Tepco that there is no fuel left in building 4 to burn implies that the remnants of the spent fuel are probably now primarily in the ocean.
Please see the "before" (may 2011) and "after" images of building #4 I posted on my blog yesterday in relation to this assertion http://majiasblog.blogspot.com/2012/09/unit-4-is-there-intact-fuel-left.html
Fukushima is truly a nightmare beyond our wildest dreams.
