Quakes Caused By Waste From Gas Wells, Study Finds

[excerpt] "A dramatic increase in earthquakes in the Midwest is likely due to hydrofracking and other gas drilling, according to a new study from the US Geological Survey. It's not the drilling or fracking itself that may be triggering the quakes, but the disposal of toxic wastewater, which is pumped back deep into the ground...."

Majia here: Unfortunately, these earthquakes are occurring in places that have nuclear plants that were not designed to withstand earthquakes.

In a troubling development, a Pennsylvania law was passed that bans physicians from warning communities about the health effects of fracking
