EPA Radnet 8/7


I'm now relying on Alexander Higgins' website since it is more accessible and has gamma and beta for EPA's monitoring sites all on one page

Note that beta levels for cities such as Omaha and Des Moines are dropping but Des Moines is still around 150 beta (just a little under) while Omaha is around 50 beta.

In other news, Enews reports a video in which someone using a geiger counter detected very high readings from a swipe of rain water off the top of a garbage container.

It would be interesting to compare that result with a swipe from another location. There was clearly dust on the towel used for the swipe from the garbage container's lid (that is, the dust on the container could have been the source of the reading, not the rain).
