EPA's Radnet Data 8/6 10:00 AM Pacific Time

Frustratingly, I cannot get Radnet to respond to a beta search today. The system just times out. Here is the link in case anyone else wants to try

Scroll down to "Where Can I Find Beta Monitoring Data" and click on the link there.

Meanwhile, Alexander Higgins provides us convenient access to the EPAs monitoring data. Thank you Alexander!

It looks as if Omaha is just under 200 beta today

the same number holds for beta in Des Moines

If these data are elevated from equipment malfunctioning why isn't EPA fixing the equipment?

  1. Thanks for the link to the alexanderHiggins radiation monitoring! This is so much easier to check then the EPA website. It looks like many areas are rising in their counts?? I just cant imagine that all of these high readings are due to malfunctioning machines.
