WSJ: "International Call to (Buy) Arms"

Today's WSJ discusses the economic prospects of US (off)defense related companies. Some tidbits in the article.

The US Pentagon budget has doubled in the last decade to $700 billion.

Projected cuts in spending on military hardware are prompting US (off)defense companies to look to export their goods.

Boeing Co hopes to expand overseas military sales to 25% of its defense revenue over the next 5 years

The US is one of the world's biggest arms pushers (maybe the biggest). We export machinery of death and products of debt (via Wall Street).
