To work for any extended time at such a place one first has to convince oneself of a number of untrue things like radiation is not a problem. In fact that attitude has to prevail through out the nuclear industry and the regulatory agencies. It is the perfect recipe for disasters. So even if an outstandingly safe plant were designed and built, the human factor would gradually undue it. The human factor is all too often overlooked and reliance is placed on the technology which is human dependent in the final analysis. Already we have attack or assault rifles and now attack trucks. Soon it will be the rogue nuclear reactor while blameless humans stand by in great puzzlement. AI will greatly augment this attempt to escape responsibility.
