Fukushima Daiichi Looks STRANGE (on Webcam 1)

I noted a few weeks ago that the vent tower in the foreground of unit 2 had been oddly illuminated (for example, see my discussion here).

It was hard for me to tell whether the "steam" (presumably) coming up behind the vent tower originated in unit 2, the ground (possibly the underground ice-wall), or from unit 3, which is out of view.

Here is a recent screen shot from April 7, 2019 at 1:43 - Notice the diffuse steam coming up from areas around unit 1 (closest to camera) and the vent tower in the foreground of unit 2:

Now look at the same scene today:

This odd screenshot is dated April 13, 2019 at 2:06.

This is a very strange view. Is it a steam plume and, if so, why is it so coalesced?

If not, what is it? Where is it coming from? Is it coming from unit 2?

Unit 1 looks pretty quiet today. Yesterday during daytime hours I saw TEPCO lifting a giant skeletal box into unit 1, a process that has been ongoing. I don't think its the source of whatever is going on but webcams offer limited data.

Here are the temperatures for April 7 and April 13:

April 7 2019 temperature low as 42 with high of 63
April 13 2019 temperature low is 38 with projected high of 61

I don't have humidity but the weather for today is projected to be "brilliant sunshine."

Any ideas about this strange view today?

Our Monsters are on the move again. I fear they are stirring up a war in the Middle East. Then there is Julian Assange. And now 5G.

  3. Is anyone interested in the fate of Julian Assange? Trump apparently doesn't know anything about Wiki Leaks. Not his look out.
What about Ivanka? Her age group seemed to idolize him. I would say he has been the Hero Of Our Time. Heroes need not be saints.

While Muslim immigrants with their knives ran wild around London, the British, English, UKians spent a Queen's Ransom making sure Assange did not escape from the black hole of the Ecuadorian Embassy.

He could have escaped. It would have been easy according my dog. Why didn't he give it try? Have a Julian Assange Day where hundreds of people show up dressed like Julian and let Julian vanish into their midst. Everyone follows the dress code. There can be Julian Assanges everywhere in London mingling with the savage Muslims.

  4. Several thousand years from now Fukushima Daiichi will be viewed as a religious site. The radioactivity will be evidence that angels hang out there. Since we can not even get current and recently past events straight this one will be a snap. Now I realize that the world will come to end soon but that also is just noise.

"According to our two most Venerable Historians, Fukushima came to world attention after a great battle occurred between the angels and the demons; or between the Devas and the Auras . . . Yes, it was around this time that transcendence returned to the human beings. People began creating shrines memorializing this great event! The most devout wore medal on chains around their necks with a bas relief of the vent tower!" Volume 17 of Solar Hisoty--International Library System #74517h

Another nutty Sunday flows under the bridge of eternal time.
