The Mainichi is reporting good news for Fukushima evacuees, as Japan's Supreme Court orders TEPCO to compensate voluntary evacuees.

I named my first book on this subject "Fukushima and the Privatization of Risk" precisely because TEPCO and other agents responsible for this disaster, ranging from GE, the US and Japanese governments, the IAEA, etc. essentially shifted all the risk to everyday private citizens and that was demonstrated from the get go with the limited and chaotic evacuations.

ReplyDeleteFamilies were asked to go outside and bag topsoil in fukushima, after the catastrophe. At that time, there were case reports and multiple stories of children getting bloody noses and sick. Arclight and others conducted a series of interviews with fukushima survivors to verify these stories.
DeleteThat was acute radiation poisoning from strontium 90 and cesium 137, the more potent radionuclides attacking their bodies. A person can go through acute radiation poisoning one time and be incapacitatingly damaged for life or die.
Many of those kids who got radiation sickness, and adults went on to have thyroid cancers, leukemia, lung cancers, severe heart disease even in young people, neurological conditions, become sterile because of the initial insult and ongoing exposures. That initial bolus of hi level radionuclides, is literally tearing their bodies up from the inside out. You just don't hear about it.
Every time, they burn the sacked soil from fukushima, somewhere in Japan, there are reports of radiation poisoning.
Bloody noses, acute nausea vomiting, fevers malaise that can last days, in surrounding areas around the burns.
In America it is hidden in plain sight, where they blame the victims for cancer , heart disease and dying young.
It seems it does not matter, how good your cholesterol is, how much you exercise , how well you eat, heart disease is growing precipitously in the USA. It means cardiotoxins like cesium 137 are scarring tissue as was noted in Chernobyl and Belarus after the Chernobyl catastrophe. It only takes particles or billionth of a gram to do so.

More women are suffering from thyroid cancer, thyroid problems and heart disease too. The cancer rate is skyrocketing with lethal adenocarcinomas of the breast, gliomas of the brain, growing. Adenocarcinoma prostate, pancreas, ovaries,, lungs occurring in younger and younger age groups, in sensitive tissue . Cancers that are quite often fatal.
There are irradiated towns in the west where half the population is sterile.
Women can become sterile too from ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids for example.
Autism is growing precipitously. The graph of the rise and geometric increases in autism match the open Air nuclear bombs, nuclear reactors opening, the gluts of nuclear pollution in the 70s and 80s, Chernobyl and now fukushima. By 2050 one in two will be autistic.
Chromosome-mutagen linked disease like cystic fibrosis, cerebral palseys, trisomies like downs syndrome are exploding. Misscarriages, severe birth defects. And they lie about it. Especially in Japan.
The life expectancy of Americans is way down now to aged 65.
Dr. Busby says the lowered life-expectancy can be correlated to late baby boomer groups that were womb exposed to fallout and radiation from the massive campaigns of nuclear testing around the world from 1955 to 1964. Those exposed in the womb had their stem cells damaged.
Generation Xers later than 1964 are at risk from the flood of radionuclides in the environment from uranium mining and processing, massive buildups of nuclear reactors and hi level waste, nuclear bomb proliferation, industrial nuclear toxins like American and thorium, proliferation and illegal dumping of medical radionuclides and other radionuclides everywhere. We thing Fukushima is bad but nuclear countries and their militaries have dumped tens of thousands of hi level nuclear waste into the oceans since 1950.
I believe that a major nuclear waste fire and a nuclear incident in the United States will cause visible signs of people getting sick and or dying off enmasse as was seen at Chernobyl and Belarus but, was covered up. That is because we are saturated with radionuclides.
