Are the TEPCO cams live today?

First, I am not sure what to make of this link and am interested in feedback: http://eagerlabassistants.com/foodtestresults.html

Second, strange cam imagery today making me wonder whether TEPCO cams 1 and 4 are live. The TBS/JNN cam view was obscured with no corresponding change in the TEPCO cams.

Perhaps it rained between the Daiichi site and the TBS/JNN cam location?

Here is a link to screenshots: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l9wruzmbw79qbhs/July%2020%202015.pdf?dl=0

One hour later July 20 00:54

View was almost fully obscured with no corresponding change in the TEPCO cam views?

Perhaps there was rain between Daiichi and the TBS/JNN cam, which is located at least 10 or so miles from the Daiichi site?  Or perhaps the TEPCO cams aren't live? I don't know.

  1. aren't samples supposed to be dried/pulverized? I don't see evidence of that in this notebook page http://eagerlabassistants.com/thenotebooksnotes.html

  2. there is a note about drying samples in the initial page, but http://eagerlabassistants.com/foodtestresults.html - is the protocol same for all samples?

    1. I noticed that also.

Yes, ideally samples should be reduced of water but that makes the process more intensive

  4. so, not being able to confirm procedures as standard for each sample leaves room for doubt on findings...?

    2. Regarding the sample reduction. It is my understanding that valid measurement requires reduction.

However, Fukushima inform is not reducing their samples when testing for radionuclides. Inform asserts that no radionuclides were detected using raw samples. I don't know how valid there results are.
