Death Rate Rising, Especially Post-2011, but its ALL Lifestyle [sarcasm on]

In 2017, I discussed how declining global health is being reported in terms of individual lifestyle choices: https://majiasblog.blogspot.com/2017/03/framing-bad-news-about-declining.html

Once again, an alarming decline in the health of people aged 25-44 in the US is explained by the media primarily in relation to opioids, which no doubt play a role, but are unlikely to be the only driver when you consider the trends in health more generally.

Here is the latest headline on declining mortality for middle aged and young US adults aged 25-44:
Betsy McKay (July 23, 2019) Death Rates Rising for Young, Middle-Aged U.S. Adults. The Wall Street Journal, https://www.wsj.com/articles/death-rates-rising-for-young-middle-aged-u-s-adults-11563854580

Death rates are rising for young and middle-aged U.S. adults, and the outcomes for whites, blacks and Hispanics are diverging, according to a new government analysis...
...But among younger adults age 25-44, death rates rose 21% for white and black adults and 13% for Hispanic adults between 2012 and 2017, according to the report.
In 2017 we learned that the lifespan for some US white populations was declining, although then as now the attribution was drugs:
McKay, Betsy (2017, March 23). Whites’ Mortality Rate Worse Than Thought. The Wall Street Journal (print ed), p. A6.

Liver cancer rates are up too:
Liver cancer death rate in US surged 43 percent in 16 years WSYM Tue, Jul 17, 2018 3:37 AM MST Fox 47 News https://www.fox47news.com/news/national/liver-cancer-death-rate-in-us-surged-43-percent-in-16-years

Death rates from liver cancer increased 43 percent for American adults from 2000 to 2016, according to a report released Tuesday by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's National Center for Health Statistics.

...More than 70% of liver cancers are caused by underlying liver disease, which has risk factors such as obesity, smoking, excess alcohol consumption, and hepatitis B and C infection, said Dr. Farhad Islami, the scientific director of cancer surveillance research at the American Cancer Society.
UK death rate rose in 2016:
Austerity causes biggest rise in England’s death rate since WWII – health expert. RT, February 16, 2016, https://www.rt.com/uk/332633-austerity-death-rate-rise/ Published time: 16 Feb, 2016 15:23

Preliminary figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) indicate mortality rates in 2015 rose by 5.4 percent on 2014 - an increase of nearly 27,000 deaths, bringing the total to 528,340.

Death rates in England and Wales had been falling since the 1970s, but this trend reversed in 2011 when mortality rates started rising.Health advisers are now saying the rising death rate could be caused by cuts to vital social services
CNN reported that maternal mortality starting rising in the US in 2011:
Kelly Wallace, "Why is the maternal mortality rate going up in the United States?" CNN, December 11, 2015, http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/01/health/maternal-mortality-rate-u-s-increasing-why/
An increasing mortality rate for American mothers in 2015? How could that be?

First, the numbers: More than 25 years ago, in 1987, there were 7.2 deaths of mothers per 100,000 live births in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In 2011, that number more than doubled, jumping to 17.8 deaths per 100,000 births.

Human sperm counts are down dramatically in industrialized nations across globe:
Nicholas Kristof MARCH 11, 2017 Are Your Sperm in Trouble? The New York Times, https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/11/opinion/sunday/are-your-sperm-in-trouble.html?_r=0
“There’s been a decrease not only in sperm numbers, but also in their quality and swimming capacity, their ability to deliver the goods,” said Shanna Swan, an epidemiologist at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, who notes that researchers have also linked semen problems to shorter life expectancy. ...

I think we are at a turning point,” Niels Erik Skakkebaek, a Danish fertility scholar and pioneer in this field, told me. “It is a matter of whether we can sustain ourselves.”

One recent study found that of sperm donor applicants in Hunan Province, China, 56 percent qualified in 2001 because their sperm met standards of healthiness. By 2015, only 18 percent qualified.

“The semen quality among young Chinese men has declined over a period of 15 years,” concluded the study, which involved more than 30,000 men.
Although austerity, increased poverty, and drug abuse no doubt impact mortality rates, one has to wonder whether chemicals (such as herbicides and pesticides saturating our food) and radiation (e.g., Fukushima Daiichi disaster and increasing non-ionizing radiation from cells phones) and other rapidly escalating sources of environmental contamination are also significantly contributing factors.

For example, the American Heart Association observes increased exposure linked to heart disease and strokes:
American Heart Association (May 3, 2019). Prolonged exposure to low-dose radiation may increase the risk of hypertension, a known cause of heart disease and stroke Science Daily, https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/05/190503080554.htm
A long-term study of Russian nuclear plant workers suggests that prolonged low-dose radiation exposure increases the risk of hypertension. This study is the first to associate an increased risk of hypertension to low doses of ionizing radiation among a large group of workers who were chronically exposed over many years. The higher the cumulative dose of radiation, the greater the risk, the study showed….

… The researchers evaluated the workers' health records up to 2013. More than 8,400 workers (38 percent of the group) were diagnosed with hypertension, as defined in this study as a systolic blood pressure reading of ?140 mm Hg, and a diastolic reading ? 90 mm Hg. Hypertension incidence was found to be significantly associated with the cumulative dose.

To put it in perspective, the hypertension incidence among the workers in the study was higher than that among Japanese survivors of the atomic bomb at the end of World War II, but lower than the risk estimated for clean-up workers following the Chernobyl nuclear accident....

      Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy
      Even Has a Japanese Name
      "Broken Heart Syndrome"
Too much stress on the left ventricle from anxiety, Yes Right. Could not be from RCesium or some other shit radionuclide that they do not eanna talk about.

      en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takotsubo_cardiomyopathy

"Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, also known as stress cardiomyopathy, is a type of non-ischemic cardiomyopathy in which there is a sudden temporary weakening of the muscular portion of the heart.[3] This weakening may be triggered by emotional stress, such as the death of a loved one, a break-up, rejection from a partner or constant anxiety. This leads to one of the common names, broken heart syndrome.[4] Stress cardiomyopathy is now a well-recognized cause of acute congestive heart failure, lethal abnormal heart rhythms, and rupture of the heart wall.[5]"

  3. People in North America formerly (1940's) got married, had a job, had kids, went on picnics, had friends, had various amusements like softball, fishing, read magazines and books, stayed married. All this contributed to a healthy life. Many attended a church on Sundays. Imagine walking down a street in Toronto back then and going into a restaurant. Quiet and peaceful. Talk a walk in Denver back then; also pretty peaceful. In fact all of North America was on the quiet and peaceful side. We now live in a distressful society.

When a volcano erupts like Krakatoa tsunamis occur . . . we are in the tsunamis of a number of terrible wars.

    1. I was not alive in the Fifties. I have personally talked to 5 people whose families lived within the radius effected, by the Plutonium Fire at Rocky Flats. Many members of their families succumbled to cancer and disease troll. I know you are too stupid to read Kristen Iversens book about her family living in Denver and being ruined by the rocky flats plutnium fire. Her entire family destroyed.
One of my closest friends succumbed from pancreatic cancer from it in Denver. His little brother was born with birth defects from it. You are a nazi-moron with blinders and rose-colored glasses. I know you will not talk about the kids in your neighborhoods who developed mysterious cancers and succumbed to cancers, during the decade of open air bomb tests in nevada.
The fallout was over denver. To you those kids were justifiable, collateral-damage. So were their families too you, who suffered the rest of their lives, from the hearache of the loss.

    2. Drips with sarcasm, stupidity, and death. It says it is 75 or so. The tsunami of war by the USA does continue. It was alive during the CIA coup and special US troops in Iran in the 50s.

St George lived through the illegal Nixon bombing . The wiping out most of Indochina for no good reason.
Murica has done a tsunami of nuclear war on it's own people since Glen Seaborg got his plutonium in 1940. The USA, has not ended war, on virtually the whole world in many years, with the threat of nuclear weapons.

The USA invaded Iraq illegaly. The USA is in Afganistan, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, other places in the middle east, Africa, South America. FUko continues to Have Military advisers in central america and CIA trained dictators there, from the College of the Americas. Illegal East asian military bases with nuclear weapons. Nukes in Europe that threaten China and Russia . Fukos propagandists say he loves russia but, fuko uses Nuclear Bombs to threaten China and Russia.

Fuko makes more Useless nuclear bombs, that nuke american citizens in New Mexico and other parts of amererica, in the processes of manufacturing them. Fuko and the Nucleoapes insanity is unquenchable .
My high school teacher was in the reserves. Needed extra money because of his paltry Teachers salary. My teacher was sent to Bush 1s iraq war in 1991. 3. Elevated Gamma Radiation was detected yesterday, July 14, 2019, 50 miles North of Little Rock, Arkansas by the Energy One Reactor in Russelville Arkansas. This was one of the reactors damaged by the massive midwest flooding, this year.

The State of Arkansas has closed down the RadNet radiation monitoring site. Arkansas’ local RadNet is a under Arkansas’ political control.

Elevated radiation level was made by a federal government radiation monitoring machine.

  4. If we had a fine time machine we could simply travel back in time to the 17th century taking along professional assassins and a list of the best mathematicians. Our mission would be to eliminate the possibility of the invention of calculus without which no nuclear activities could ever occur. Of course many other inventions and discoveries would need to be sacrificed along with the nuclear. Our lives now would much more resemble those of the 17th and 18th centuries than of even the 19th century. And even now we would need to keep a sharp eye out for promising mathematicians who might want to discover the calculus! There you have it. Calculus specifically and mathematics in general are the source of our nuclear woes , . . Newton and Leibniz I suppose must be reviled. Without them . . . though Euler for example would no doubt have invented calculus or later on Gauss. For all those innumerate, who hate maths, little did you know how wise you were and are!
