Election Fallout...

The mid-term elections are over, without apparent violence, although irregularities and concerns about propaganda remain:
Gardner, A., & Reinhard, B. (2018, Nov 7) Broken machines, rejected ballots and long lines: voting problems emerge as Americans go to the polls. The Washington Post, https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/broken-machines-rejected-ballots-and-long-lines-voting-problems-emerge-as-americans-go-to-the-polls/2018/11/06/ffd11e52-dfa8-11e8-b3f0-62607289efee_story.html?utm_term=.086bfa1e76cd&wpisrc=nl_evening&wpmm=1
Craig Timberg and Tony Romm (2018, November 7) Forget the Russians. On this Election Day, it’s Americans peddling disinformation and hate speech. The Washington Post. Experts point to a rampant online spread of misleading reports and images about the migrant caravan in Mexico, for example, and the demonstrably false allegations that billionaire George Soros is funding a violent “invasion” of the United States.

  1. Ocasio-Cortez is the Renaissance Democrat. Imagine her replacing Pelosi in a couple of years. She incarnates imagination.

Martha McSally an eventual leader in the Senate! Graduate of the Air Force Academy. Facts! not fantasy.

  2. The election was a success. It has decompressed half the population without charging up the other half. It will be entertaining to have Nancy back along with San Francisco as America's model city {why not put poop bags around like they do for dogs as even the homeless probably prefer clean sidewalks?]

With all the emphasis for two years on the factuality of things it will be pleasant to have some fantasy. The House as a perpetual Masque.

Finally, we have for a while the mystery of what will the Democrats do? Have they been clandestinely plotting something? I love a mystery! After all left = sinistra = sinister . . . the left hand of darkness?

  3. Propaganda troll with the hateful tropes.

A very large number of americans will be relieved when the hate and hate-talk ceases. Probably 9-tenths of all normal, rational people. Not the one half the troll implies.

Notice how millions of americans were dropped from voting rolls. 5th generation black americans and hispanics turned away from voting stations. Many harrassed. Crooked computers that flipped votes. Peiople dropped from registration for no reason. Elderly and others turned away by crooked pollworkers.
So-called mainstream republicans were calling for nazi-style tribunals, after the election, to call the dogs out on the 2/3 of americans of the voting public.

Most people are agahst of the violence and insanity going on now.

Look at this one a legislator in washington to call out his army of god on opponents:https://agrdailynews.com/2018/11/06/state-reps-outline-for-killing-non-believers-in-holy-war-is-referred-to-fbi-talking-points-memo/

A Washington state lawmaker who moonlights as a wannabe theocrat has stumbled into FBI scrutiny over a how-to guide he wrote on killing non-believers and establishing a Christian theocracy.

Five-term Washington state Rep. Matt Shea has been circulating a manual for holy war in the United States, the Seattle Times reported.

The four-page document, titled “Biblical Basis for War,” goes point-by-point over how a Christian theocratic movement could – and should – exterminate its opposition in a battle to win a hypothetical holy war.

At the outset, Shea’s holy army would issue terms of surrender to its enemies. The demands include “stop all abortions,” “no same-sex marriage,” “no idolatry or occultism,” “no communism,” and “must obey Biblical law.”

That is, a trope? Maybe you really mean troops?

  6. Republicans tend to be long on facts and short on imagination; whereas, Democrats are long on imagination and short on facts. This seems to have been borne out by the midterm elections. For example, re-elected Jerry Nadler wants to impeach Kavanaugh but already has his facts wrong. For some reason Democrats are puzzled as to why Trump has fired Sessions. Now here is something I have noticed: some legal experts claim that an acting AG can not be nominated to fill the position. Is that true? Where would one go to find out or to whom? TAhe news is filled with many of these sorts of "facts".
