Nuclear "Security and Safety" is a Lie

Linda Sieg, Megumi Lim, Nick Macfie. (September 7, 2016). Abe's Fukushima 'under control' pledge to secure Olympics was a lie: former PM. Reuters, http://www.reuters.com/article/us-japan-nuclear-idUSKCN11D0UF

[Excerpted] Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's promise that the crippled Fukushima nuclear plant was "under control" in his successful pitch three years ago for Tokyo to host the 2020 Olympic Games "was a lie", former premier Junichiro Koizumi said on Wednesday.

  1. "After the Fukushima crisis, Koizumi said, "I studied the process, reality and history of the introduction of nuclear power and became ashamed of myself for believing such lies."" This would make a good headline for US news media. But it surely won't. The same could be said of so many things that scientific technology has brought us. Humans lack the character and self control to do anything about it which is why ignorance is not always a bad thing. A noble lie that prevented people from creating modern science was a good thing. Perhaps it was not even a lie. It was an attitude towards nature.

  2. Boiling water with plutonium and uranium to turn turbine was never scientific or technology. It is a psychotic lie and abberation that was started as a cover for the psychotic building of nuclear weapons. It was initiated by the the quite insane and devious ploughshares for peace program initiated by the homicidal maniac known as edward teller.

  3. Nuclear power has never been economical or safe. Always a scam.

  5. Concern Grows That A Megaquake Is Going To Hit The Middle Of The United States

"What in the world would such an earthquake look like today?

I also want to point out that there are 15 nuclear reactors sitting inside the New Madrid fault zone, so if a megaquake did hit the region we could be looking at Fukushima times 15."

But this is rarely news which increases my conviction that climate change is being used to distract from things far worse. This makes it obvious why nuclear power is a very bad idea since no reactor could survive this sort of an event.
