Help Request

Greetings Everyone

I hope someone might be able to help me identify the funding source(s) for Japan's "Health Fund for Children and Adults Affected by the Nuclear Incident"  led by Fukushima Medical University.

I imagine that the Japanese government supports the fund, but I'm interested in identifying which agencies contribute and whether there are international contributors.

This is a link to a site describing the Fukushima Health Management Survey: See http://fmu-global.jp/fukushima-health-management-survey/

Dr. Yamashita was the director of the survey research until he was forced out because of his controversial claims that ionizing radiation would not have negative health impacts if people smiled.[i]

In a Democracy Now interview on 3 June 2011, Aileen Mioko Smith, executive director of Green Action, described problematic comments made by Dr. Yamashita:
[Aileen Mioko Smith]: Yes, we’re very concerned that a health study is starting at the end of this month. This is concerning the effects of the Fukushima residents, on the prefectural citizens. It’s headed by a Dr. Shunichi Yamashita, who’s at the Atomic Bomb Research Institute… He’s widely shown on national TV. He speaks widely in the prefecture, always saying there’s absolutely no concern with the levels of radiation in Fukushima. He says that mothers, even mothers exposed to 100 millisieverts, pregnant mothers, will not have any effect, health effect. Remember the number 100. Compared to that, the Soviet Union required a mandatory evacuation during Chernobyl at five millisieverts. This doctor is quoted as saying, ‘The effects of radiation do not come to people that are happy and laughing. They come to people that are weak-spirited, that brood and fret.’ This is a direct quote. And he’s heading the study. And so, the citizens in Fukushima are very concerned.[ii]
Dr. Yamashita was pressed to explain his assertion that no effects from radiation occur when people are happy. He responded to Der Spiegel by claiming that there exists little statistically significant increased rates of cancer for exposure levels under 100 millisieverts.[iii]

Yamashita resigned but the Fukushima Health Management Survey continues, amidst continued controversy.

I want to identify national and international agencies that fund the survey.

Please share any information or thoughts you might have on this subject.

Thank you!

  1. Health physics is a bunko game. Measuring the mass concentration of radionuclide's, and noting health effect profiles that are unique to each individual radionucleides, is the only accurate metric for radionuclide exposure and bioccumulation.

A nebulous number like 10millisievert exposure from ongoing and added exposuredoes not cut it. They know what to expect from 100mcg/ml exposure to lead, arsenic, hexavalent chromium, arsenic, yet they lie their asses off about what to expect to given exposures of quantities of tritium, cesium 137, iodine 131. They use shotgun figures of 100milliseiverts and will not mention how a microscopic amount of cesium137 causes severe heart damage or strontium 90 causing immune system damage or iodine 131 causes damaging thyroid destruction.

The health physics buffoons and nuclear criminals know exactly what molar concentration of individual radionuclide's cause permanent tissue damage because they use radionucleides for radiation therapy Drugs, and as contrasting agents. Don't be fooled by their egregious lies and bs.

    1. I'm not. But do you think people are actively lying to "sacrifice" health in the name of national energy/military security?

  2. Sure the medical professions and government agencies, like the cdc lie about radionucleide toxicology profiles to hide data and justify their actions via national security.

Universities, government agencies, doctors working for them, hide toxicological findings for individual radionuclide exposures through a web of withholding and propaganda.

The Russian government, which is a nuclear state, threw bandazhevsky in jail over it. The government has the data and yet withholds it. The government and medical establishment withholds research and toxicological profiles for individual radionucleids yet one can go to a so-called radionucleide drug monograph or drug information profile and the data is right there in your face. The medical establishment and government encourage doctors and toxicolgists to rely on health physics specialists for all radionucleide exposures.

  3. Doc Yamashita is now a primary advisor to the IAEA which is writing propaganda and teaching doctors how to lie to people, especially during a radiation emergency.

  5. Japan Budgte allocated 96.2 billion Yen but notes that: After deducting the overlap with the Fukushima Pref. Nuclear Accident Affected People and Child Health Fund, 19.2 trillion yen would be budgeted (not sure what that means re: funding for that group) https://www.mof.go.jp/english/budget/budget/fy2011/11sb02.pdf

  6. Fukushima Prefecture established a “Health Fund for Children and. Adults Affected by the Nuclear Accident” for mid- to long-term projects (funded at 80billion yen [about $833 million] as of Dec. 2011). www.nyujlpp.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Lerner-Making-Victims-Whole-17NYUJLPP2.pdf
