Trouble at Daiichi?

I'm not sure what is going on at Fukushima. Yesterday there was a boat in Daiichi's harbor (as I posted on my blog) and today there are unusual emissions around units 3-4.

Here is a link to screenshots from the last couple of days: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xwl6cr7yx3j7v27/March%2018%20-%2020%20WEBCAM%20Boat%20in%20Harbor%20and%20Strange%20Emissions.pdf?dl=0

Today's screenshots start at the bottom of page 12.

I'm not sure what is going on but the unusual emissions coupled with the boat in the harbor suggest trouble.

  1. "I could be bounded in a nutshell, and count myself a king of infinite space, were it not that I have bad dreams." - Hamlet, II.ii

Do the assassins of nature (including us) have enough going to have bad dreams or are they too robotic? Beyond corporations, governments and institutions I am beginning to see forces of history and elemental forces pushing things along so that the apparent actors really are largely puppets of these impersonal energies. Even if there is an Elite behind the scenes (and who can doubt it?) they obviously have little real idea of what is going on. Avarice hardly makes for high intelligence and understanding. Toss in some perverted lust and all you have are ugly people. I am very tempted to take some of these great catastrophes that have befallen the earth, for example, the encounter with a comet around 12,800 years ago which had a profound impact on the planet. Assuming there is a species mind that records these traumas the widespread destruction must have made a terrible and lasting impression on the human mind which got passed down for a very long time. The earth temperature dropped below what it had been during the ice age which was already coming to an end. The population must have gone down seriously. And then about 1200 years later a second encounter occurred which this time raised the planet's temperature (it hit the ocean). How long does it take to recover some confidence in life? This is super PTSD. It may well have done something to the genetic makeup even. Thus, we come to live in an age that would like to be secure against everything which is impossible. Even great wealth will not cause an asteroid to go somewhere else or a coronal mass ejection to head off in the opposite direction. Science is ultimately no better than religion and perhaps worse as religions seem to guarantee life after death and for science, when you are dead, you are dead. Hence, all the focus is on some kind of control that overlooks some obvious things like the planet's health and viability. For those not under the influence of these hidden forces all we can do is try to push back on this madness coming out of ancient fear. The native Americans came to terms with these catastrophes, but peoples along the Mediterranean and later Europe did not evidently.

    1. Very interesting analysis. I've been meaning to go back and read Freud's Madness and Civilization but it never occurred to me that exogenous shocks may have played a role in fomenting the former. Seems very probable.
