Is This TEPCO's Way of Admitting the Reactor Core from Unit 1 is in the Atmopshere and Under the Reactor Building

TEPCO recently announced that muon detections failed to disclose the location of reactor 1's core. The status of the spent fuel pool is rarely discussed. No one can get close to the building:
TEPCO believes nearly all nuclear fuel melted in Fukushima reactor March 20, 2015

Tokyo Electric Power Co. said almost all the nuclear fuel in the No. 1 reactor at the Fukushima plant likely melted in the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami.

The plant operator said March 19 that internal observations of the reactor building using cosmic rays reinforce earlier suspicions that all the fuel had melted and dropped to the bottom of the containment vessel.

Direct observations have been impossible because high radiation levels are preventing workers from approaching the damage inside the No. 1 reactor building.

Readers at Enenews and Fukushima Dairy have known for a couple of years, if not longer, that the reactor fuel is under the ground. The containment vessel is ruptured, according to TEPCO admissions.

The core remaining in the earth is most likely in direct contact with water - an underground river - running under the Daiichi site, which is emptying into the Pacific Ocean AND contaminating an important aquifer system in Japan:

TEPCO's ground water radionuclide readings keep going up and up. Skyrocketing levels of Strontium-90 are especially worrisome. TEPCO hasn't reported tritium levels in filtered water for some time now. Highly tritiated water is being deliberately dumped into the ocean.

Units 1 and 3 continue to produce atmospheric emissions that are visible on the TEPCO, TBS, and FUTABA cams.

Meanwhile, the incidents of mass mortality rise on the Pacific Coast. Ongoing 3/11 contamination is hardly the only cause, but I am confident that the toxic plume started on 3/11 is exacerbating failures caused by myriad exposures and habitat loss.

I grew up with the Ocean. I love the sea lions. I saw the change in the La Jolla tide pools in the summer of 2012. I read about the published and peer-reviewed study of Iodine-131 detections in Long Beach kelp harvested in the spring of 2011. Contamination was attributed to wet deposition (aka, rain).

Now the UNRELENTING TOXIC plume has arrived.

It is clear to me that the toxic load has reached critical junctures in the North Pacific Ocean and entire eco-systems are dying off before our eyes as a result of too much environmental-biological devastation.

Resilience is fading.

  1. Anyone who thinks FUD and ENespews is truth is delusional. I went to Whole Foods today and they will continue to sell Pacific seafood. I am glad they didn't buy into the hype.

  2. YES! NRC FOIA documents confirm a 90 minute 11,000 reading from Fukushima Daiichi when unit 2 went up! see pgs 45-47
pg 30 the change in pressure, Unit 2 was massive (and unit 1 and 3 'detonation')

how? read Severe Accident.. when there is No Power, No Cooling >> No Containment!
"Finally, if the molten material of the core cannot cool due to the loss of geometric and failure of the cooling systems, the wall of the reactor vessel will fail. If at that time the pressure in the reactor coolant system is low, the corium will flow down the cavity of the container. If the pressure is high, the corium is violently eject and dispersed."
