TBS Cam Depicts Hot Daiichi

These screen shots were taken late this morning and late evening May 7 US Pacific time.

Unfortunately, the second screen shot doesn't capture the waviness of the image. It looks like a heat is emanating in waves from the buildings, as indeed it is

  1. jBee here: they're losing control of Daiichi, and trying to rationalize it as "easing the crisis...

t'is a runaway train, on professionally greased media tracks... but no surprise if they really cared about doing something equal to the threat: radiation biomagnifies, death wish stupidity compounds exponentially - is there time left to stabilize? is stabilization still within the realm of the possible? are we living in a 2 year miracle that far worse hasn't already happened? condemned to watch as the fuse gets shorter... oh but fully grasping & dealing with the fuse is certain death to the Industry, can't go there, best we die instead (hint for future: abandonment of the site is where worst case scenario kicks in

  2. Yes jBee I agree that the site is going to be abandoned inevitably.

I believe that unit 4 already burned, at least, much of it did.

That said, I shudder to consider what happens when they can no longer cool the coriums because the site has become too hot to work at...

    Slow kill, but inevitable.
