RadioCesium from Fukushima Everywhere

View the video of cesium dispersion from Fukushima produced by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration:

Fukushima Radioactive Aerosol Dispersion Science on a Sphere http://sos.noaa.gov/Datasets/dataset.php?id=332

Majia here: If you think that the dispersion is too diluted to affect you and your environment, I strongly recommend watching this video about how Chernobyl fallout in California, half way across the world, decimated bird populations who consumed new growth that had been watered by cesium-laden rain:

DeSante, Dave of the Institute for Bird Population in Point Reyes, California interviewed in “Fukushima Fallout - Lessons from Chernobyl by Ecological Options Network” YouTube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hcBGSr9QGk

You can read the consequences for human infant mortality in the US and Germany here:

Gould, Jay and Benjamin A. Goldman Deadly Deceit: Low-level Radiation, High-level Cover-Up (New York: Four Walls Eight Windows), 1993.

Majia here: I don’t know what health risks radiocesium, radioiodine, uranium, and plutonium from Fukushima pose for Japan, North American and the rest of the global ecosystem.

That said, I can assure you that there will be detrimental eco-effects generally, and for humans specifically.

It is impossible to model these effects fully and there are very few incentives for trying.

Hats-off to the scientists, activists, and everyday people who are doing their best to illuminate in small ways how this catastrophe is adversely affecting dimensions of life on earth.

And to those who stifle inquiry and/or lie with numbers, one can only hope that the effects are wrecked most directly on their progeny so they can come to understand the fragility of life, particularly human life.

Hat Tip to Enenews for the story

  1. Majia, don't forget the strontium also, that is really the bogeyman.

I know that in Hawaii, after the initial dusting with uranium, plutonium, cesium, strontium, that radiation levels after a few months were stabilized at low, say 25 CPM, ALTHOUGH the flies went away for a year, and finally came back, although they came back at lower levels.

To me that is very odd effect of radiation. Farmer at TMI said the same thing.

  3. Don't wish anything bad on their children, please. We must think positive. Fukushima has brought out a lot of strong emotions in everyone, but our hearts are stronger than Fukushima.

    2. The children are entirely innocent of wrongdoing!

I would not blame anyone but the industrial, financial, and political 'leaders' who put their greed above human and ecosystem welfare...
